My first ever kite lesson. Bit of dry land kite stuff with 1.8m jobbie, then into the briney with a Slingshot 9m T3 for bodydrag stuff and ended getting onto basic boardskills.
Pretty intensive session covering loads, pretty pleased with progress from raw kite numpty to nearly getting going on the board. Another couple of hours with coaching and I reckon I'll be able to do the basics.
That said, I couldn't help seeing the boys 'avin it on my Kona 10'5 & 11'5 boards and 5.6m rigs and wishing I was out there windsurfing ..... none-the-less, I'll see the coaching through and see about nailing the kitesurfing too, as I'm sure there will be the odd day where I'll kite for time on the water.
Cracking session, but was a little annoyed at myself that I didn't get the board riding nailed before session ended ..... another hour and maybe would've ended on a high, rather than talking a couple of notes higher due to a high speed exit out the front door and cushioning my landing with my b*ll*cks :-0

Lesson was with Paul from S2AS, Folkestone, and he was very thorough, and also very calm . Not experienced any other kite instructors so can't compare, but having met loads of windsurf instructors over the years, I reckon he was a pretty good instructor.
